【Learn Chinese】How to Explain Tech Problems in Chinese

Struggling to explain a tech issue in Chinese can be frustrating. You know the problem, but the words just don't come out! Let’s learn the practical vocabulary to handle these everyday situations. Let's break down some essential terms.
First, the most common phrase you’ll need is: "My [device] has a problem." – 我的 [device] 有问题。(Wǒ de [device] yǒu wèntí.)

Now, let's fill in the blank for the device:
电脑 (diànnǎo) - Computer
手机 (shǒujī) - Phone
网络 (wǎngluò) - Internet
打印机 (dǎyìnjī) – Printer

Next, describe the symptom. What is it doing (or not doing)?
很卡 (hěn kǎ) - It's very laggy/slow.
死机了 (sǐjī le) - It crashed/froze. (Very common!)
打不开 (dǎ bù kāi) - It won't turn on/open.
连接不上 (liánjiē bù shàng) - It can't connect. (e.g., Wi-Fi)
没有反应 (méiyǒu fǎnyìng) - It's not responding.

The person helping you might ask: "你试过关机吗?" (Nǐ shìguo guānjī ma?) – "Have you tried turning it off and on?" This is the universal first step for a reason – it often works! 关机 (guānjī) means "to shut down," and 开机 (kāijī) means "to turn on."

Finally, you might need to request help:
"你可以帮我修一下吗?" (Nǐ kěyǐ bāng wǒ xiū yīxià ma?) – "Can you help me fix it?"
"我需要一个技术人员。" (Wǒ xūyào yí gè jìshù rényuán.) – "I need a technical person."

Mastering these phrases will save you from a lot of stress. It’s not just about vocabulary; it’s about gaining the confidence to solve problems in real-life Chinese.
