Knowing how to tell people about your nationality, and understanding the questions about nationalities in Chinese are one of the first things Chinese learners should learn. It’s also a good idea to learn a few other common nationalities, so you can make friends wherever you go!
In this article, you’ll find useful phrases about nationalities in Chinese.
 
The very first must-know word in Chinese that’s related to countries and nationalities is of course - China: 中国 Zhōngguó. The people who are from China, Chinese citizens or Chinese nationals, are called 中国人 Zhōngguó rén.
According to a survey, the top 10 foreign visitor arrivals to China for sightseeing by nations are:
韩国 Hánguó - “South Korea”, 韩国人 Hánguó rén - “South Korean”
俄罗斯 Éluósī - “Russia”, 俄罗斯人 Éluósī rén - “Russian”
