| People: 个 gè: Person, general measure word. Example: 一个人 yī gè rén 位 wèi: More respectful than 个, and used only for people. Example: 三位老师 sān wèi lǎoshī 名 míng: People with status, typically used for a person’s occupation. Example: 一名医生 yī míng yīshēng 口 kǒu: Family members, household (rarely used in speech).
