5 Reasons why you should travel to China

China is an amazingly diverse country, and one that should be on every traveler’s list. Only a few countries have a variety of experiences such as China, hence making your trip a once-in-a-lifetime experience. From the ancient world to modern-day, there are plenty of excited attractions that make it the perfect destination for travelers. But these attractions aren’t the only reason why you need to visit China, as this country offers so much more. Here is a list of reasons that will inspire you to visit the Middle Kingdom.

1. Unique Culture
You can experience the true feel of China once you focus on the vibrant culture. There are many different ways to experience the Chinese culture. You can sought out an immersion tour or follow an age-old trade route such as the Silk Road. You can also sought out an interesting aspect of the culture, learning its significance among the, like tea or kungfu. Or you can simply take trips around places that appeal to you as everything you do once you set foot in China is part of the cultural experience.

2. Incredible Food
Prepare yourself for some excellent food if you travel to China, but also don’t expect the same Chinese food that you find at your home country. Chinese food is healthy, varied, always a complete treat for the senses, and other than all of that, each region has its own glorious specialties. One of the most loved dish in China are dumplings, which are delicate works of art and often shaped to look like flowers or animals, ending up being a delight for both the eyes and the tummy.

3. Breathtaking Landscapes
No trip to China is complete without a look at the its stunning landscapes. One of the most enchanting waterways in China is the Yangtze River, which is also the third longest river in the world, stretching for almost 6500 km. The most dramatic stretch of the Yangtze River flows through China’s most scenic marvel, the Three Gorges. A cruise here also provides a good look at the Three Gorges Dam, the world’s largest hydro-power plant and the second biggest project in China after the Great Wall.

4. Traditional Chinese Medicine
Massage is not a special treat in this part of the world, it’s more like a way of life. There is a wide range of therapies and massages in Chinese Medicine, but spas and massage parlors offer just about anything you can think of and on a reasonable price. You can spend your afternoons at bathhouses like Xiao Nan Guo Spa, located in Shanghai. Here, you can soak, get scrubbed, massaged, manicured, and get fed, all for a very reasonable price.

5. The Great Wall
The Great Wall is an absolute must-do when you’re in China. Built around the 7th century BC, it is on the list of UNESCO’s world heritage sites. Although you might have seen about a hundred pictures of it, seeing the Great Wall, climbing on it, and peering over it are experiences worth traveling a thousand miles for.
